Hints and tips for work experience
Work experience is a key part of any work-related learning programme and a placement usually lasts for five or ten days.
It is designed to give young people insights into the wider working world and use many of the skills they are learning in school, like numeracy, problem-solving and IT.
Work experience is not designed to be a career confirmation placement at Key Stage 4. This will happen if the student takes up an assignment in the sixth form.
