In this section

Business partners work with students in small groups, giving them a brief synopsis of their job and talking to them about their day-to-day activities as well as the ups and downs of their workplaces. This event can be made appropriate for all stages of education, from GCSE option choices right through to the UCAS process.

Through this activity young people can:

  • Find out about the range of careers available to them.
  • Meet with representatives from a range of different employment sectors.
  • Develop awareness of the diversity of local and national employment opportunities.
  • Recognise, develop and apply their skills for enterprise and employability.
  • Learn about the way business enterprises operate, working roles and conditions as well as rights and responsibilities in the work place.
