In this section

BHEBS' business partners are asked to work with a group of students to help prepare them for the world of work. Sessions during the day include CV and application form preparation, telephone skills and mock interviews.

Through this activity young people can:

  • Develop an awareness of the job application process.
  • Understand the importance of attitudes, qualifications and skills to employers.
  • Undertake tasks and activities set in work contexts.
  • Relate their own abilities, attributes and achievements to career intentions and make informed choices based on a full understanding of the alternatives.
  • Make contact with people from different employment sectors.
  • Recognise, develop and apply their skills for enterprise and employability.
  • Have experiences (direct or indirect) of working practices and environments.
